Welcome to Braelyn Herefords. We're a family operation which has been breeding quality Hereford cattle for over 45 years

Our aim is to deliver cattle that are commercially relevant. We have concentrated on breeding to a type that is easy care, feed efficient, structurally sound and demonstrates excellent carcase.

Feedback from feedlots on the performance of our steers has verified our breeding program.

Neville and Denise along with sons John and Richard welcome you to our stud. Take a browse around our website and be in touch at anytime to arrange a visit to inspect our herd and the bulls we have for sale.

Beef Australia 2021

Every three years the nation's beef industry descends on Rockhampton for a festival of all things to do with beef cattle, including a showing of stud cattle. We firmly believe Herefords have an important role to play in the North, and so we continue to support Beef and the breed by showing cattle, this time a senior bull. This time around we were lucky enough to be awarded senior champion Hereford bull with Braelyn Advance P120.

Cooyar Show 2019

Despite the dry conditions there was a strong showing of beef cattle at the Cooyar Show in late February, 2019.

Braelyn Unique N027 was awarded senior champion British and European bull. Braelyn Sapper N040 was placed second in his class. The two bulls later combined to win second place in the pair of bulls.

Glen Innes Show and Sale 2018

Braelyn returned to Glen Innes in 2018 for the 73rd Annual Hereford Show and Sale.

We were more than pleased Braelyn Sharka M131 was judged first in the junior class and then awarded the Champion Single Bull for 2018. Sharka was sold to long time Hereford breeders in the Glen Innes area and we hope he does an excellent job for them.

Sydney Royal Show 2018

After a long spell from the show ring Braelyn was back at Sydney Royal Easter Show in 2018 for the first time since 2004, which was the last time Herefords were the featured breed.

We believe these events are important to support as long time stud breeders and so we were proud to be amongst what was a quality exhibition of the very best of the breed.

Back in 2004 we were chuffed to be awarded the All Breeds Reserve Champion lightweight carcase with our steer. This time around we were thrilled to win the Intermediate Champion Bull with Braelyn Governor M157. Braelyn Cavalier M052 coming 3rd in the same class and these two then went on to pick up a second place in the Pair of Bulls.

Our very first time at the National Show and Sale was an excellent experience. We had a great day in the ring. All three bulls placed in their class for two seconds and a third.
